In December 2018, Lao Foundation, in partnership with the D&L Group of Companies, hosted Pamaskong Handog in 6 Elementary Schools within the Greater Metro Manila area. Within 48 hours of its launch on September 27, all 670 indigent students were immediately sponsored by employees from the D&L Group of Companies, the fastest record to date. Employees who sponsor indigent students were in charge of granting their wish – one item they truly wished to receive for Christmas.
200 employees of the D&L Group and Lao Foundation scholars volunteered to share their time with these students from Bagumbayan Elementary School, Libis Elementary School, Manggahan Elementary School, Santolan Elementary School, Tomas Earnshaw Elementary School, and San Ramon Elementary School. Volunteers spent two to three hours of their time playing games, sharing food, and distributing gifts to the most indigent. Now on its eighth year, Lao Foundation and the D&L Group hopes to expand its reach further in the coming years!
