Agronomist Area Sales Representative – Nueva Vizcaya


The Agronomist/Area Sales Representative is responsible to develop sustainable methods and provide technical knowledge and assistance to the farm and farmers for increased crop yield.


  1. Visits fields regularly checking the crop growth and monitoring the yield and quality.
  2. Provides corrective action for observed problems that may lead to poor yield
  3. Inspects the weeds and growth of insects on crops.
  4. Develops tools for controlling pests and keeping insects away from the crops.
  5. Analyzes the soil moisture and arranging for irrigation.
  6. Conducts studies and/or laboratory experiments and applies the best method available for increasing/improving crop production.
  7. Conducts presentations to farmers by means of reliable records based on experiment.
  8. Conducts planning for new methods of irrigation.
  9. Recommends usage of appropriate chemicals and fertilizers to the farmers.
  10. Educates the farmers about crop rotation, growing hybrid crops, the right time for sowing seeds, and various methods for improving crop yield.
  11. Communicates with buyers and arranges for increased sales for farmers.
  12. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as directed by immediate superior.
  13. Promote products to farmers and ensure usage.
  14. Monitor product application and crop improvement.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and should have done higher study on crops. Master’s degree on soil and weed management would be an advantage
  • Specialization in specific plants and crops are given preference
  • At least one (1) year experience in the field
  • Must know how to drive, familiar in Metro Manila and in the assigned area of responsibility.
  • With a strong affinity for soil and agriculture.
  • Must have good analytical skills, with determination to develop sustainable farming methods and
    increase the yield in every possible way for the benefit of the farmers.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of laptop/pc and applications such as MS Office (word, excel, powerpoint).
  • Skill to work independently and take major decisions.
  • Must be willing and have the stamina to work for extended hours
